INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 19, 2008) –Firestone Industrial Products Company, LLC’s (FSIP) air spring plant in Poland has earned TS Certification, ISO/TS 16949:2002. Receipt of TS Certification — an international quality system specification — is another milestone for FSIP in its quest to provide superior products and services.

ISO/TS 16949:2002 is a technical specification created by the International Automotive Task Force to align quality system standards for automotive products worldwide. Because this certificate is recognized globally, recipients don’t have to seek multiple certifications, freeing up time and resources for other quality improvement activities.

The Poland plant is the second FSIP facility to earn TS Certification. The company’s Williamsburg, Ky., air spring plant has also received TS Certification.
