INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 5, 2008) – Firestone Industrial Products Company, LLC (FSIP), has announced price increases between 3% and 7% on air springs for the light duty and heavy duty markets. The price increases will take effect on July 1, 2008.

“Prices for raw materials, energy and fuel continue to rise at unprecedented rates,” said Mike Cerio, President of FSIP. “Firestone has implemented aggressive programs for productivity enhancements and internal cost reductions throughout our facilities. However, raw material costs have outpaced these measures and in order to offset the continuing escalation, it has become necessary to raise our prices.”
